Toronto: Open Water Swim Group


For all interested in an open water swim group in the Toronto area, we have a group that goes out once per week in the evening at 6:30pm (day to be determined) and another on Saturday morning at 9:30am at no charge!
Depending on the water temperature and weather conditions the swim group starts sometime in June and we swim at either Kew-Balmy Beach (1st choice) or Cherry Beach (2nd choice).
If you're interested and want to try it out but don't have a wetsuit one can arranged for you to try for a swim, just call EnduroSport @ (416) 916-0831 a few days before so that a wetsuit can be put aside for you (charges may apply).

Quick Tip
: When it's race season the wetsuits go fast so don't leave it to the last minute.

On the day of the swim, reference the City of Toronto web page to get an up-to-date water quality reading (after 3pm), the water temperature can be anywhere from 12c to 17c at the two swim sites.

2011 Spring Classic Ride!

What are you doing May 28th? How about riding for a great cause with 400 other cyclists and Toronto Endurance cyclist Peter Oyler?


In 2007 & 2009, Peter raced his bike across the US in the Race Across America (RAAM) to help raise money for Kids Help Phone. I was lucky enough to be part of his 8 man crew and support him to cycle 4800km and climb over 100,000 feet (its like climbing Mt Everest 3 times). He did this in 10 days - which equates to 21 hours of cycling a day and 3 hours of sleep.

He'll be taking part in the Race Across the West (RAW) in 2011 to help raise money for The Jack Project at Kids Help Phone.

The Spring Classic ride will start from Elgin Mills and ride up to Lake Simcoe where we will take a little break to refuel for the ride back. There will be three groups - The Big Jack 120Km+, The Jack 100Km, and The Jack Lite 50Km. No one will be left behind and there will also be a follow car to support the groups with fluids, clothing storage, photography and repair assistance.

Build Running Speed - Starts May 7th


Build Speed, Power and Endurance doing my Speed and Track workouts. It will give you an extra gear to shift into during races or training duels! Everyone is welcome and can gain from these workouts because they're tailored to YOUR fitness level and goals.

Datelines:
Registration: Open
Speed Training begins: May 7, 2011

Speed Training ends: October 01, 2011

Days & Times:
Location 1: Saturday mornings from 8:00-9:00am
Location 2: Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:00am

Cost:
Group Rate: 4 sessions per month for $80+HST per person
(that's only $20 per workout, per person) OR
Pay-per-session: only $30+HST per person
(minimum of 4 people per group to have group rate)

For 2 people a small group rate of $45+HST per workout, per person
for a one hour session.
One-on-One coaching is also available.
